What you’ll do:

We are looking for a Business Systems Analyst to provide support for enterprise-class SAS 9 and SAS Viya business software applications like Advanced Analytics, AI & Machine Learning, Data Management, Internet of Things (IoT), Risk Management, Fraud & Security Intelligence:. This role will provide assistance in the definition, support, and administration of applications and services for Justice and Public Safety.

You will: Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintains thorough knowledge of Justice & Public Safety applications & services; general knowledge of related organizational systems
  • Provides frontline user support to division staff and customers on applications, services and 3rd party solutions
  • Provides business expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing improvements to Justice & Public Safety applications and services that are cost-effective, meet user requirements and meet agreed upon service level agreements
  • Lead or assist with gathering customer requirements for new and ongoing projects and/or requests
  • Compiles feedback from end users in Justice & Public Safety to identify recurrent system problems or new system needs
  • Develops user training materials and/or support documentation. Trains Justice & Public Safety users on new system features and functionality
  • Executes system functionality and data quality assurance testing prior to customer acceptance testing
  • Configures and maintains application settings and administration options to set up access for new and existing users
  • Assist with creation and maintenance of operational reporting for Justice & Public Safety

What we’re looking for

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business or related field
  • In-depth knowledge of business systems and familiarity with applications used in Justice & Public Safety
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Good project management skills
  • Skill in understanding and articulating user business requirements to technical staff
  • Skill in understanding and articulating concepts to users
  • Ability to influence and recommend business requirements to desired outcome
  • Ability to effectively support issues of assigned application and services
  • Skill in learning business process for supported applications; includes global and local level requirements. May expand to understand integrated systems
  • Ability to present concepts and strategies in a way that influences adoption

  • Cloud technologies, like Azure, Kubernetes, Docker and similar
