The Shipping & Receiving Specialist will be responsible for maintaining accurate records on incoming and outgoing shipments. This position will examine shipment contents, visually inspect and compare with records, such as invoices, part numbers and orders, to verify accuracy. The individual will prepare documents, work orders, bills of materials, or shipping orders, to route materials. This position requires a high attention to detail, ability to multitask, and a high sense of urgency so multiple items can be received, transacted in our system, and then delivered accordingly in a timely manner.

Role/Responsibilities:

• Receive and ship items per Sarcos policies and service levels.
• Visual inspection of items before receipt and recommend corrective action as required.
• Processes and posts receiving transactions in the ERP system.
• Communicate with warehouse, procurement, production, and internal departments about current receipts and potential issue with orders.
• Performs MRO, raw and finished good material movement between warehouses, stocking areas and manufacturing areas.
• Loading and unloading of deliveries which in some cases require forklift use.
• Assists warehouse with cycle counts, kitting of items, and work orders as required.
• Ensures optimal housekeeping by following procedure, maintaining shipping and receiving area in a neat and safe manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Ability to receive, store and distribute materials, equipment, supplies and products throughout the organization.
• Ability to lift and place at least 40 lbs. on an ongoing basis
• Ability to stand, climb ladders, and work on your feet with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to use computers for extended periods of time.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize with a high attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Innately possesses accountability, fearless risk-taking and measurable achievement.
• Persuasive oral/written communication abilities.
• Flexible and adaptable.

Qualifications:

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Three years of previous related work experience required in inventory control/shipping and receiving.
• Forklift Certification, or the ability to obtain Forklift Certification
• Experience working in an ISO 9001:2015 certified manufacturing environment preferred.
• Valid State Driver License
• Proficiency in basic computer skills and with Office Suite products.
• Knowledge of inventory management software and shipping software a plus.
• Prior experience managing government inventory a plus.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

• Work is performed Monday through Friday with occasional evenings and weekends as necessary.
• Safety awareness is essential at all times while in the work area.
• Must be able to stand and sit for extended times.
