Summary: Staff Accountant to maintain general ledger reconciliations, monitor bank accounts and support month end close process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To include the following. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

• Prepare and maintain assigned journal entries and reconciliations monthly
• Reconciles cash accounts, researching and resolving differences
• Assists with the monthly close process, resolves any issues
• Prepare and post monthly Retail Inventory variance
• Record credit card fees, interest income and daily bank activity
• Monitor credit card activity, reconcile differences
• Research and pull supporting documents for special projects and costing analysis
• Coordinate with management daily cash flow for the company, report findings to Corporate Controller.

Requirements

• High Proficiency in Excel
• Proficient in the use of ERP Systems and experience in MS Office
• Detail oriented with strong organizational and time management
• Must be able to clearly communicate verbally and in writing to internal staff and external contacts and agencies
• Ability to apply analytical skills to understand and carry out detailed written or verbal directions
• Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor at all times
• Knowledge of the application of internal controls
• Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive financial information

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred, and 2-3 years relevant accounting experience
• Thorough knowledge of accounting practices and procedures
