A.POSITION PURPOSE
The Director of Mission Integration (DMI) is charged with creating enduring structures, programs and networks in academic and non-academic units to support the appropriation and engagement with SCU's Jesuit, Catholic mission. The DMI, under the direction of the Vice President for Mission and Ministry (VP), creates, directs and implements plans and programs for outreach to academic and staff units across campus. The DMI will also work with faculty, staff and administrators who have identified in their portfolios opportunities to engage with SCU's mission, and will provide resources, training and other necessary facilitation to help them achieve their mission programming. This position will also support the VP's formation of senior leadership and board members in the University's mission and the assessment of mission related activities. This position will coordinate extensively with other staff members at the Ignatian Center, including the Director of the Bannan Forum and the Director of Ignatian Spirituality, as well as with the Director of Campus Ministry as needed.
B. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. In partnership with the VP, develops and oversees mission-related programming with faculty, staff and administrators.
2. Provide resources, training and other necessary facilitation for mission programming on campus.
3. Supports and collaborates with Director of the Bannan Forum and the Director of Ignatian Spirituality on mission-related programming.
4. Manages Division and ICJE assessment activities related to mission engagement, including taking the lead on the Mission Priority Examen process.
5. Manages all operational and financial aspects related to the portfolio.
6. Executes other tasks as assigned.
7. Contributes to the broader work of the Division.
C. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
1. In partnership with the VP, works with faculty, staff and administrators on mission-related programming to amplify mission awareness and mission engagement.
Develops an outreach plan for collaboration with faculty, staff and administrators to identify structural needs for mission integration.
Prioritizes mission engagement opportunities for each stakeholder group and plans programming to meet needs.
Creates and manages a Mission Advisory Board.
Develops a communications plan for mission integration programming opportunities and engagement.
Develops communication and marketing plan for informing SCU community about the University mission; coordinates with Division Director of Communications and Marketing as well as University Marketing and Communications (and other related offices as needed).
- Develops social media outreach strategy and implementation
- Develops print materials as needed
- Consults with and supports VP on Division communications relating to mission integration
2. Provide resources, training and other necessary facilitation for mission programming on campus.
Supports programming needs identified by faculty, staff and administrators for mission integration, by advising or participating in such programs or by providing content resources.
In collaboration with program partners, identifies resource needs and collaborates with the Director of External Relations and University Advancement staff to identify funding sources.
Curates an archive of digital materials and content to support the range of mission programming on campus, according to audience needs.
3. Supports and collaborates with Director of the Bannan Forum and the Director of Ignatian Spirituality on mission-related programming.
Meets regularly with Director of the Bannan Forum and the Director of Ignatian Spirituality to identify short and long term program priorities.
Provides input for programming by Director of the Bannan Forum and the Director of Ignatian Spirituality, including materials, formation time, and retreat support as needed.
Supports development of the Mission Monday newsletter under the direction of the Director of the Bannan Forum
4. Manages Division and ICJE assessment activities related to mission engagement.
Develops metrics for assessing the impact of engagement with SCU's Jesuit, Catholic mission, benchmarks SCU's metrics, and conducts annual program reviews.
Oversees mission assessment process annually, utilizing university resources available through the Provost's Office.
Publishes/shares mission assessment data to University stakeholders, in consultation with the VP.
Under direction of the VP, oversees the University Mission Priority Examen Process.
Supports the VP's relationship with the Jesuit West Province's Liaison for Higher Education.
5. Manages all operational and financial aspects related to the portfolio.
With support of operations staff, leads effective operation of program activities.
Manages annual allocated program budget, including quarterly reporting to Chief Operations Officer of the Division
Hires, trains, and supervises student employees and interns
Supports Director of External Relations for fundraising and donor cultivation, including supporting the ICJE Advisory Board as well as determining and executing on grant opportunities.
6. Contributes to the broader work of the Division.
Consults with constituent programs to deeper align them with Jesuit, Catholic educational mission.
Supports VP and Division staff in mission formation programming.
Regularly attends Ignatian programming and Catholic liturgy events offered by other Division programs, including some events that may be held outside of regular business hours.
Regularly attends SCU campus-wide, staff-wide, and academic programming events to represent Ignatian Spirituality perspectives, to form relationships to support engagement with Ignatian Spirituality, and to inform Ignatian Spirituality programming, including come events that may be held outside of regular business hours.
7. Executes other tasks as assigned.

Experience in higher education required, preferably at a Jesuit sponsored institution.

Master's degree required. Master of Divinity highly desirable.
5.Years of Experience
Minimum five years' professional experience in relevant field.
