A leading Healthcare Organization in the Asheville market is seeking a General Accountant to support the Corporate Accounting Office.
Duties
Compile and analyze financial data to prepare and post entries to general ledger accounts.
Assist in preparing monthly financial statements to include preparing monthly balance sheet, income statement, expense reports, etc., as required.
Assist in timely preparation of balance sheet reconciliations including prepaid expenses, accruals, and inter-company activity.
Prepare state sales & use tax returns.
Support senior accounting staff by performing any assigned accounting and clerical tasks as needed.
Qualifications
Must possess, as a minimum, a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Must have, as a minimum, three (3) years’ experience in corporate general ledger accounting, preferably in health care accounting. Experience performing month-end close for multiple locations is highly preferred.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including intermediate to expert Excel skills.
Must possess the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
Must be able to prepare financial and other records in a systematic, neat, and legible manner.
Must function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, accounting and facility personnel, as well as vendors and support agencies
