Sanibel Harbour Marriott Resort and Spa is Hiring an Administrative Assistant to the GM (FT) Near Fort Myers, FL
What you will be doing?
Assist to Resort General Manager as well as Regional Manager in the daily executive office operations
Support the Director of Operations and other department heads as needed.
Organize special functions and events including but not limited to new hire brand orientation
Monitoring incoming and outgoing mail; signing for packages from USPS, FedEx or UPS; receiving mail and packages from couriers and making sure Receiving Department delivering them to the proper recipient.
Assist Department Heads with creating POs and closing POs.
Prepare correspondence, documentation, or presentation materials within the corporate as well as with the Resort guests.
Creating, updating, and maintaining personnel records, financial records, and other records and databases
Assisting with internal and external reports.
Preparing travel arrangements for office staff and managers; overseeing and preparing expense reports and budgets.
Scheduling company calendar and updating as needed.
Monitoring and maintaining office equipment, inventory supplies; orders replacement supplies as needed
Follow and enforce all company and safety policies as well as keep track of safety training compliance.
Other duties as assigned. The ideal candidate for this position.
The ideal candidate for this position:
Minimum one year of Admin work experience, office administrator, or handling administrative responsibilities in a related field.
Previous hotel or resort experience is helpful but not required.
High School Diploma; Associate Degree, or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Administration, or related field preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel); scheduling appointments/updating calendars a must.
Excellent time management skills; able to prioritize.
Motivated to take on additional projects and solve problems.
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and projects at hand.
Able to organize and manage large amounts of files, tasks, schedules, and information.
Self-directed and able to work without supervision.
Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas.
Answers phone inquiries, directs calls for the executive team.
Able to perform clerical duties, maintaining files and confidential information, organizing documents as needed.
Highly organized multitasker who works well in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to learn and to grow with the company.
Able to push/pull 25 pounds or more.
Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.
