Job Summary:

Sanford Federal, Inc. is currently seeking a Art Therapist inMassillon, Ohio to provide art therapy for patients which can greatly enhance their healing process, and perform his duties in such an effective manner.

Duties:

• conduct art activity and/or therapy sessions with the patients at Heartland Behavioral Healthcare.
• conduct up to 8 hours weekly on the grounds of Heartland Behavioral Healthcare.
• work with a diverse population with mental health diagnoses and behavioral issues.
• help manage stress, improve communication, increase self-confidence, and decrease depression and anxiety symptoms.
• offer 1-1.5-hour group sessions to help patients identify emotions, offer strategies to assist with emotional regulation.
• develop stress relieving coping skills, and help facilitate a method of communication. Maximum 8 hours per week.

Requirments:

• Registered as an Art Therapist and has worked as an Art Therapist for at least 2 years.
• At Least 1 year of experience working with people who have a mental illness diagnosis.
• Willing to work evening and weekends.
• Art Therapist must be able to work with a diverse population with mental health diagnoses and behavioral issues.
• Skills: manage stress, improve communication, increase self-confidence
