Purpose of this Job: 

• This job is responsible for supporting OEM applications of Sanden electric compressor product and obtaining new business through promoting technical capabilities

Requirements

 Principle Duties/Essential Functions:

• Function as technical interface between customer and Sanden internal departments and ensure customer satisfaction
• Conduct product DFMEA, design changes, validation plan, validation reports reviews with customer and obtain approvals
• Manage math data and software changes, and work with customer vehicle integration team to ensure Sanden product meets vehicle requirement 
• Responsible for Sanden product warranty analysis and coordinate return parts analysis 

Other Tasks/Responsibilities:

• Cascade customer requirements to Sanden internal departments and coordinate internal activities to ensure product development is complying with customer technical requirement and milestones
• Gather voice of customer on new product direction and communicate to Sanden headquarter
• Attend vehicle program team meetings as directed by customer
• Lead packaging study and work with Design Engineering to ensure Sanden product fits vehicle packaging requirement
• Responsible for awareness and compliance with company Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) policies, procedures and regulatory requirements. Contributing to the effectiveness of the EHS policies and procedures by communicating and reporting unsafe conditions and/or non-compliances

Education:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

• Knowledge of automotive electrical compressor or similar product inverter / motor design & control software / hardware, including CAN / LIN communication.
• Knowledge of HVAC system
• Knowledge of mechanical compressors, especially scroll compressors
• Working knowledge of current computer technology and applications such as CAE and MS Office applications
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with internal and external customers
• Knowledgeable of ISO-9001, ISO-14001 and IATF procedures

Physical Demands:

• Routine lifting of 25 lb. loads (compressors) may be necessary
• Possible exposure to high noise levels
• Possible exposure to chemicals (oils, refrigerants, solvents). 
• Exposure to environmental temperatures 30 - 110 degrees Fahrenheit
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and be able to prioritize workloads

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):

• PPE may be required based on specific projects

Work Environment/Hours:

• Primary work area is in an office setting as well as lab environment. 
• Must work normal office hours plus provide support on evenings and weekend (as needed)

Primary Work Location:

• Plymouth, MI

Travel Requirements:

• 0 – 25% domestic
• 0 – 10% international to countries such as but not limited to Japan, Mexico
