Here at Sana Lake Recovery Center, our approach is individually based and member-centric. We pride ourselves on our approach to both substance misuse issues, and co-occurring mental health issues by providing a personalized and well-rounded approach to recovery. The Position

New Dawn Family Healing is an outpatient therapy program within Sana Lake Recovery, LLC designed to assist and support family members and loved ones of those suffering from substance use disorders (think alanon, naranon, coda population). The New Dawn Therapist will provide outpatient individual, family and group services which helps families navigate and heal from the impact addiction has had on their lives. The New Dawn Therapist will assist by helping loved ones learn about the disease process, recognize family dynamics and how the roles can impact their loved one’s recovery, process trauma history, identify healthy boundaries and implement coping mechanisms to reduce their symptomology.

• The Therapist is responsible for performing a wide variety of clinical activities as directed by the Program Director.
• He/she will be responsible for an outpatient caseload serving adults experiencing MH concerns and who have been impacted by a family/loved ones SUD.

• He/she will provide services including individual, family and group counseling.

• The Therapist will conduct psychosocial and bio-psychosocial assessments and develop a diagnosis from the information gathered in the assessment.
• They will collaborate with the treatment team to formulate the Master Treatment Plan and assist in coordinating discharge planning.

• The Therapist has responsibility for maintaining communication between treatment team members, family, referral sources and other service providers as needed.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or closely related field required.
• Missouri licensure for LCSW, LMFT or LPC recommended.
• Minimum 2-3 years clinical therapy experience.
