San Francisco 49ers is Hiring a Software Developer Near Santa Clara, CA
The San Francisco 49ers are looking for a full-stack Software Developer that is passionate about being a part of a team. Our Football Systems team builds the 49ers’ proprietary scouting system as well as various other applications. We support all parts of the Football Organization, including the Coaching Staff, Scouting Department, Video Operations and Research & Development.
- Collaborates with various groups in Football Ops to enhance existing applications.
- Communicates with users to gather system requirements.
- Works with developers, analysts, and scouts to support existing applications.
- Creates tests and documentation for bug fixes and new application features/functions.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Communicates orally and in writing in a clear, concise, and impartial manner.
- Organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively, while balancing and prioritizing multiple or competing tasks.
- Computer Science fundamentals, e.g., data structures and algorithms.
- Ability to write clean, well-documented code.
- Ability to ramp up on development projects, in an agile environment.
- Understanding how to use version control systems in a team environment.
- A strong focus on quality and an interest in automated testing.
- Bachelors in Comp Science or equivalent degree; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated experience with three-tier web applications.
- Experience with responsive website design and CSS.
- Experience with SQL (Database queries, CRUD operations, stored procedures, and views), Python and Javascript/JQuery is preferred. More important is the demonstrated ability to learn new languages and technology quickly.
- Direct experience with SQL Server administration, nginx configuration, regular expressions, BeautifulSoup and git is a plus.
- Experience in cloud computing, storage, and technologies relevant to data lakes, data warehousing and data managements.
