Salt Creek Surgery Center is currently seeking a Full-Time Sterile Processing Technician. This position is responsible for sterilization and maintenance of instrumentation and equipment in an efficient, safe and sanitary manner while following established policy and procedures in compliance with regulatory requirements. Maintains quality controls. Job Responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining supplies and equipment as needed for SPD in accordance with established policies and procedures and all manufacture guidelines.
• Organizing storage of supplies for efficient handling. Maintain catalog of procedure trays.
• Maintaining instrument room areas in a safe, orderly and sanitary condition.
• Appropriately labeling all supplies and equipment for sterilization.
• Maintaining instruments and equipment to assure proper function and integrity.
• Performing and logging all necessary testing in the SPD department in accordance with all established policies and procedures.
• Assisting with preparing instruments for the OR and prioritizing instrumentation for turnover.
• Working with OR staff ensure all loaner trays and equipment are in the facility and processed in a timely manner.
• Creating and maintaining a safe and comfortable environment in the SPD department
• Maintaining current knowledge if AMII regulations as it relates to the sterilization and supplies.
