Salon Service Group, founded over 32 years ago, is the nation's largest privately-owned professional beauty distributor. We have conveniently located, professionally exclusive wholesale stores representing our independently owned, high-end professional portfolio of haircare brands across SSG territories. Our highest priority is to provide our customers with the tools and support that they need for success.
Job Summary: Will produce a bi-monthly promotional magazine as well as marketing materials for our company and our customers. This position plays an integral role in the marketing success of the company.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Consistently create a diverse range of marketing materials including, but not limited to; advertisements, brochures, postcards, sales materials, pricing labels, etc.
- Work with a wide range of media and use graphic design software
- Think creatively and develop new design concepts, graphics, and layouts
- Assist in the designing and production of promotional materials including magazines, newsletters, program guides, administrative materials, flyers, signs, posters, displays and program support materials
- Take photographs for publications
- Work with media partners
Requirements
- Proven professional experience in graphic design required
- Firm grasp of how visual elements generate leads and sell products
- Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design, and Print Layout
- Experience delivering on business and creative goals through design
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly motivated, self-directed, enthusiastic, with a passion not just for design but also for the impact that design can have on people
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Creative and resourceful
- Timely and dependable
Education and Experience:
- Graphic design degree preferred
- Proven professional experience in graphic design required
