Job Summary:
The Commercial Lines Account Manager will manage a medium-to-large commercial lines book of business. This team member will provide excellent customer service to all clients and create a strong partnership with the internal team.
They will carry out placement of new lines of coverage and new business, re-market existing business, and be responsible for the renewal process. In the first year at SBU, a successful candidate will focus on customer satisfaction and maintain a high retention rate. Additionally, they will new and renewal business in a timely and accurate manner.

This position is in office through the orientation and training process. Once complete, it will transition into a hybrid schedule of in office one day per week and remote four days per week.

Duties/Responsibilities:
● Manage renewal timeline and provide service to customers.
● Receive customer phone calls and handle them accordingly.
● Market new lines of business for new and existing customers.
● Prepare proposals for new business and renewals.
● Perform renewal duties – including renewal kits, binders, binder billing, auto ID card & certs.
● Negotiate policy coverage with company underwriters.
● Conduct weekly team meetings with the Producer.
● Work with the Accounting, Customer Service and Claims departments.
● Participate in agency meetings and educational opportunities to further product knowledge and stay informed of operating changes.

Required Skills/Abilities:
● Strong Organizational skills and attention to detail.
● Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $1.00 - $2.00 per year
