Sagetech Avionics is Hiring an Electronics Technician Near White Salmon, WA

Job Description

The Electronics Technician plays a critical role in living up to that value by adhering to defined processes for handling, integration, calibration and test of manufactured products. The Electronics Technician is required to troubleshoot issues, identify and document non-conforming material and support continual improvement to help Sagetech meet its delivery commitments and satisfy customers.

Objectives of this Role

Production

  • Integration, programming and test of electro-mechanical assemblies.
  • Calibration and verification of product using precision equipment and proprietary software interfaces.
  • Problem solve and troubleshoot issues using deductive reasoning.
  • Accurately documenting test results and archiving electronic files.

Quality Management

  • Document non-conformities and material defects.
  • Support the published Quality Management System.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities for improvement and provide solution-oriented feedback.
  • Collaborate with teammates, Operations and Quality management in resolving productivity and quality issues.
  • Support Sagetech’s ongoing efforts to refine and improve production capability, capacity and quality.

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

  • Assemble, program, test, calibrate and verify product in accordance with the production schedule.
  • Update production records in real time.
  • Collaborate with and follow direction from the Production Supervisor on priorities and issue resolution.
  • Maintain a neat and orderly work environment.
  • Adhere to all work instructions, ESD, FOD and other department policies.
  • Attend scheduled meetings
  • Support department activities such as providing input in MRB decisions, cycle counts, 5S, etc.

Measures of Success

  • Processing materials according to schedule and manufacturing work instructions.
  • Producing and archiving complete and accurate production records.
  • Adherence to Quality standards and processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to use computer systems to follow work instructions and document test results.
  • Excellent English language written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to flex into different production roles as required to support Operations objectives.
  • Detail-oriented and customer focused.
  • Ability to work 10-hour shifts sitting, standing and managing desk top equipment.
  • Good problem-solving capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical school training or certification in electronics.
  • Associates degree or Community College experience.
  • Familiarity with ISO9001 / AS9100 Quality systems.
  • Electrical troubleshooting experience.
  • IPC (610/620) certification.
  • Soldering certification or experience.
