Description
The Social Media Strategist will focus on activation and execution of Social Media projects and strategies as part of the overall digital marketing strategy for the marketing department at Sagamore Spirit. This role will set the tone and direction for all social properties in an effort to drive brand/product awareness, further develop and strengthen the customer experience, encourage customer 'word of mouth' communication, and ultimately drive sales. The role will be responsible for the day-to-day activity of the Sagamore Spirit accounts and platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the marketing team to develop and execute a social media strategy that delivers results against key marketing initiatives.
- Work with the marketing team to develop and maintain weekly editorial calendars that adhere to brand voice and guidelines.
- Monitoring, engage and post on various social media platforms.
- Manage relationships with strategic agency partners.
- Manage relationships with licensing partners.
- Develop and maintain relationships with advocates, influencers, and bloggers to drive and support project execution.
- Track, evaluate and report on the progress social media campaigns on a regular basis.
- Contribute to regular brainstorming sessions to continually bring new ideas to supported business units.
- Monitor trends in social, digital, and mobile media and exploring new tools, trends and applications that could positively impact our business.
Requirements
- In depth knowledge of all major social media platform and actively engaged in using social media in daily life.
- Ability to creatively engage with consumers through social media
- Experience with executing Facebook and Instagram advertising campaigns
- Experience in managing online communities independent of the major social networks
- General knowledge of tools and the spirits industry
- Ability to think outside the box and develop creative solutions to problems
- Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
- Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS
- Basic knowledge of WordPress
- Exceptional level of written, verbal and editing skills
- Creativity to develop original content that will engage our communities
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment and able to execute against deadlines.
Qualifications
- Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year College/University or work-related experience in lieu of degree.
- Years of Related Professional Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years digital/social media, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Experience in creating and implementing social media strategies
