Safety Management Group is seeking a Talent Acquisition Partner in Indianapolis, Indiana. 

This position is hybrid and will require some in-office days and working remotely. This requires a high-speed internet connection and the ability to work remotely without distraction.

The Talent Acquisition Partner is responsible for effectively recruiting top talent for SMG’s internal staffing needs. They will partner with the Hiring Managers to understand staffing needs, develop workforce planning initiatives, and develop robust candidate pipelines. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Ensure that staffing needs are being met with a long-term strategy in mind.
  • Implement sourcing strategies, such as an employer branding initiative, to build pipelines for potential applicants.
  • Create and implement end-to-end hiring processes to ensure a positive experience for candidates.
  • Form close relationships with hiring managers to provide clear expectations for candidates and interviewers.
  • Coordinate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and candidate selection criteria.
  • Source applicants through online channels, such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, ZipRecruiter, and other professional networks.
  • Complete reference and employment verification checks on all new hires.
  • Organize and attend job fairs and recruitment events to build a strong candidate pipeline.
  • Maintain records of all materials used for recruitment, including interview notes and related paperwork, in our ATS.
  • Follow-up calls with previous candidates and constant communication via phone, email, and social media.
  • In-person and/or phone meetings with managers to discuss new positions and updates on current positions.
  • Create new video interviews, schedule and review completed video interviews, and send them to managers.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with both passive and active candidates.
  • Send out welcome emails and follow up with candidates during the new-hire process.
  • Salary negotiations with candidates and managers.
  • Communication with current associates – answer questions.
  • Attend College career fairs.
  • Developing and executing nationwide recruitment strategies.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Degreed with 2 years of related experience. 
  • Previous experience in Executive Recruiting and/or Staffing Agency placing skilled candidates with (Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental, Risk Management, Industrial Hygiene, Construction, and Manufacturing) backgrounds are highly preferred.
  • Proven ability to source and attract the right talent, interview job candidates effectively, assess candidates accurately, and fulfill talent needs promptly.
  • Experience with various sourcing vehicles, including internet souring/advertising, social media, direct sourcing (passive sourcing concepts), employee referral campaigns, and job fairs. 
  • Highly consultative and professionally polished approach to recruiting. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
