Description

Job Summary

Responsible for the accurate preparation, documentation, and distribution of payroll via the payroll system. Administers and maintains company benefits programs. Informs and guides employees on benefits matters regarding eligibility, coverage, and provisions. Job holder to promote and adhere to the company values of quality and compliance with current legislation.

Essential Job Functions

  •  Responsible for the accurate preparation, documentation, and distribution of payroll via the payroll system
  •  Reviews the computation of pay and ensures the company payroll policies are following the government regulations
  •  Responds to and resolves any inquiries regarding pay slips
  •  Maintain employee records in payroll system
  •  Provide support to finance department in auditing payroll & benefit related invoices for approval
  •  Assist in Performance calibration
  •  Occasional assistance in hiring process, processing background and pre-employment screening
  •  Manages with integrity and discretion highly sensitive information and is able to do so with demonstrated confidentiality and care to details
  •  Ensures payroll reporting is completed timely and collaborates with service providers to promptly resolve questions or requests for information from Federal, State and other employment service providers

Requirements

Qualifications

  •  5 plus years’ experience in payroll and benefits
  •  Microsoft Office experience
  •  HRIS System experience required, Paylocity preferred
  •  Ability to multitask and take on additional projects as needed
  •  Keen understanding of the sensitivity and high quality of work expectations which exist in preparing payroll for our people
  •  Ability to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive information and a high regard for deadlines
  •  Ability to plan schedule and work independently to ensure tasks are completed timely

Physical Requirements

Performing the duties of this job regularly involves sitting, standing, walking, hearing/listening, repetitive hand movement, grasping, reaching. Vision requirements include the ability for close vision, to adjust focus, to color code.

This position requires the ability to maintain an appropriate work pace; to comprehend and follow instructions; to read, count and compute; to exercise logic and reasoning; to organize and prioritize; to problem solve; to make decisions; to analyze and interpret data; to multi-task/re-direct and experience numerous interruptions.

Other Requirements

Occasional need for travel (< twice/year); collaboration to fit within the Safeguard Medical culture

Work Environment

The noise level in the work environment is usually; (1) quiet to moderate. Position eligible for hybrid work depending on the candidate’s ability to perform effectively in this structure (i.e. combination of in-office and remote work)
