What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Clerk position at Safe Fleet Mirrors?
Summary:
A Shipping clerk is responsible for reviewing packing lists and ensuring the correct items are shipped out to customers. A receiving clerk is responsible for receiving incoming material, counting and inventorying items, and receiving and checking the contents of packages against packing lists and manifests. May perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Responsibilities and Tasks :
- Using computer hardware and software to generate labels and maintain equipment
- Maintaining and organizing adequate shipping supplies
- Preparing shipper cartons
- Ability to read a picklist or schedule
- Ability to receive and unpacks materials and supplies
- Ensuring that products processed for shipping are delegated to correct courier
- Pulls material as required for production orders
- Report material damages and discrepancies
- Ability to operate powered and non-powered material handling equipment
- Ability to schedule carriers in a timely manner
- Prepare proper and accurate shipping documentation
- Assisting in others areas as needed and performing other duties as assigned
