Scope of Responsibility:The 3PL Manager ensures that proper procedures and processes are followed to satisfy our customer orders. The 3PL Manager will be responsible for delivering strong KPI and elevated customer service performance, standard work process applications across the distribution network, and strengthening the effectiveness and collaboration.

Essential Duties:

• Manage operational goals and metrics utilizing management tools including effective labor management.
• Drive operational results setting expectations and accomplishing performance goals and objectives
• Comply with all environmental, health and safety federal, state, local regulations and company policies
• Monitor and adjust work direction and schedules according to business demands
• Leverages continuous improvement methods to enhance labor productivity and processes accuracy while maintaining a clean and safe work environment
• Resolve day to day operational challenges as well as long term resolution planning, research inefficiencies make recommendations and implement changes
• Track metrics and coach staff to reach productivity, quality, service requirements, inventory control and safety goals
• Manage 3PL vendor, hold accountable for delivery performance, on hand inventory, including freight spend and overall costs
• Assure accurate inventory at all times and procedures are followed
• Audit of daily labor and billing reports
• Supervise timely and accurate data entry for all services performed
• Drive a high-performance culture characterized by an empowered, highly engaged team
• Works with Executive Leadership team to develop and maintain a strategic perspective in organizational direction, strategy and decision making
• Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs

Position Requirements:

• Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Engineering, Manufacturing or related degree or equivalent years of experience required in related field; Master’s degree preferred
• At least 10 years experience in Distribution/Logistics industry with planning and other Logistic proficiencies preferred
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex long-term projects
• Experience in managing multiple projects at once with changing priorities
• Proven leadership, collaboration, problem solving, excellent verbal and written communication skills including strong presentation skills
• Ability to improve and drive operational processes
• Strong business and finance acumen
• Ability to travel 95%
• Experience in HAZMAT requirement for warehouses
• Experience in Multi-site operation
• Experience in Disaster Recovery Plans
• Experience in external carrier requirements
• Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements:

• Demonstrated ability to work with frequent interruptions in workflow and constantly changing priorities
• Must be able to remain in stationary position for extended periods of time with the ability to move throughout the office or outside manufacturing plant as needed
• Must be able to perform physical activities that require the use of fingers, hands, and arms, such as sitting, typing, using office equipment, and reaching
• Some additional physical activities may require walking, stooping, bending, twisting, and handling of materials
• Position requires manual dexterity, arm-hand steadiness, and a safety-minded individual
• Must have the ability to concentrate on tasks for long periods of time and be able to observe and receive information from all relevant sources.
