Salary Range: $17.00- $22.00 per hour plus benefits
Full/Part-time: Full Time
Purpose of Position:
The Training and Development Specialist designs, develops and conducts training for employees within S.T.A.R. The goals are to develop skills, increase productivity, enhance the quality of work and build company loyalty. This position is based out of the Administration building in Phoenix and will require travel to all four locations throughout the valley to assess needs and provide appropriate training.

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in behavioral health field (preferred)
Experience:
2 years Training experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
· Basic computer skills (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
· Knowledge of public behavioral health programs and services
· Excellent time management, organization and communication skills
· Must be an experienced public speaker
· Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Other requirements:
- Self-identify as a Peer by the International Association of Peer Supporters (INAPS)
or Mental Health America definition and/or have (or have had a history) of a
Mental Health/Behavioral Health or Substance Use/Abuse Diagnosis (preferred)
- At least 21 years of age
- Valid AZ Driver’s License
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- Criminal Background Verification
- Pre-Hire and Random Drug/Alcohol Screening
