Patient Care Coordinator position available for full-time employment. Seeking a motivated, enthusiastic, charismatic, friendly candidate to join our incredible team. Responsibilities and Duties

General

• Complete opening and closing office procedures for the front desk, pre-test room & ancillary diagnostic testing rooms
• Greet patients in a friendly, prompt manner and ensure high quality patient service.
• Answer the phone according to the company telephone protocol.
• Operate the practice management system efficiently and accurately
• Coordinate smooth efficient flow of patients through the practice
• Maintain a neat and orderly practice environment, which includes light cleaning.
• Interface with all associates and Dr. Sweitzer in a professional manner.

Patient Care Coordination

Pre-Arrival

• Appointment Book Management (scheduling)
• Patient File Management
• Insurance Authorization/Verification
• Office Visit Paperwork Preparation

Patient Check-in

• Distribute and accurately explain patient paperwork.
• Collect and verify accuracy of all patient paperwork & insurance cards.
• Explain insurance usage (medical insurance vs. vision benefit plan).

Patient Encounter

• Efficiently conduct preliminary testing and other advanced diagnostic testing according to company protocol

Patient Check-out

• Collect payment for services rendered
• Distribute and accurately explain office receipts, fees, procedures and policies.
• Coordinate patient referrals to outside specialists.
• Complete patient file by scanning appropriate documents to patient electronic record.
• Submit claims to insurance if needed.

Accounts Receivable

• Investigate outstanding insurance claims
• Collect outstanding account balances

Qualifications and Skills (minimum)

• High School Diploma
