We have an opening for a SOLO Class A CDL Truck Driver and we want the right Trucker to join us at Ryder in Dekalb IL

You might be wondering what your paycheck will look like. 

$83000 or more a year based on the following: 

• Earn $1600 or More per Week 
• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Solo Miles Pay: $0.64 per Mile with 1560 Miles per Week
• Solo Stops Pay: $16.00 per Stop with 21 Stops per Week
• Per Diem Pay: $50 per night with 4 - 5 nights per Week
• Touch Freight Pay: $0.16 per piece with 1501 pieces per Week
• Sign On Bonus: $3000 Pays you $1500 at 30 days and $1500 at 90 days
• Retention Bonus: Pays You $1000 on 1 Year Anniversary
• Schedule: Monday – Friday 
• Paid Time Off Starts DAY ONE - 80 hours accrued in 1st year

Trucks are three years or newer. Ryder Drivers Service the Route, not the Truck. All Drivers have 24/7 Roadside Maintenance by a Ryder Trained Technician plus Service Employees fuel up our trucks at all 800 Maintenance Facilities. 

• Deliver SOLO To: Indiana to South Dakota, North to Kansas and Missouri 
• Tractor Type: 2019 Freightliner Sleeper 
• Trailer Type: 53’ Dry Van with Swing Door 
• Freight: Touch – Tires

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years

• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Important Note:  Additional requirements may be required in different locations and/or accounts.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards Maintaining accurate records and logs
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Performs other duties as assigned
