RUSSELL STOVER CHOCOLATES is Hiring a HR Coordinator Near Kansas City, MO

Russell Stover Chocolates has an exciting opportunity for an HR Coordinator! The position is responsible for Human Resources related duties that support Human Resources initiatives, organizational strategy, overall business outcomes, policies, and processes. Coordination duties will include HR data entry and records management, full cycle recruitment, benefit and leave administration and interfacing with payroll.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Run reports of new entries in HR systems and report any relevant changes to Payroll
  • Schedule interviews for candidates, including travel accommodations
  • Oversee inventory for interview and new hire collateral
  • Initiate and track background checks and drug screens
  • Initiate, track and collect new hire paperwork for compliance
  • Track new hires and coordinate new hire orientation
  • Create new employee files
  • Assist with job postings and job descriptions
  • Oversee completion of annual federal contractor reporting including EEO-1, VEVRAA, AAP
  • Run monthly reports for business units who request them
  • Organize monthly business updates, “lunch and learns,” and other trainings in corporate office
  • Create/update paper files for any internal status changes and terminations
  • Assist in policy reviews as needed

TO BE CONSIDERED AN APPLICANT FOR THIS POSITION, YOU MUST SHOW HOW YOU MEET THE BASIC QUALIFICATIONS AS OUTLINED IN THE REQUIREMENTS

Basic Qualifications

  • 1 year of human resources experience or recent college graduate in HR
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Experience scheduling via MS Outlook
  • Experience with data entry and filing
  • Ability to integrate external research, HR practices, and federal/state legislation to create new or update existing policies
  • Ability to work hybrid schedule

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or other related field
  • Knowledge of FMLA and leave administration
  • Experience editing policy documents
  • Experience using ADP Enterprise, ADP Total Absence Management, and ApplicantStack
  • Basic understanding of HR legislation and project planning
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently with accuracy
