RUSSELL STOVER CHOCOLATES is Hiring a Distribution Analyst Near Kansas City, MO

The Distribution Analyst plays a key role in optimizing distribution costs and improving planning and reporting processes. They will work closely with the logistics team to eliminate waste and support key savings projects through analysis. This role reports to the Operations Finance Controller and has a high level of exposure to the CFO as well as VPs of other departments.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing truck utilization, LTL, TL and Intermodal cost/benefit analysis
  • Researching warehouse costs for handling, storage, and parcel costs
  • Data Experience with SQL, SAP, WMS, Power BI, Analysis for Office. Advanced with Excel and developing executive power points indefinity cost opportunities.
  • Monitors transportation providers performance
  • Act as an internal logistics subject matter expert
  • Monitoring and reviewing carrier performance vs expectations with operational teams
  • Perform analysis and provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports pertaining to historical/current transportation network plans and data
  • Develop budgets for freight and warehouse expense across all locations
  • Manage Month End & Year End Closing activities for Transportation and Warehousing
  • Provide Forecasts and latest estimates
  • Identify and implement identified opportunities

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2 years relevant experience within supply chain sourcing/procurement, logistics, transportation industry or finance/accounting
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong analytical skills using ERP systems and Excel
  • Ability to effectively communicate data insights to others
  • Self-motivated and demonstrates initiative; demonstrates ability to work independently
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power Point & Word
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • FMCG / CPG experience
