Responsibilities

KRA: Effectively and Efficiently Meets the Company’s Financial Expectations Regarding Gross Profit and Sales

  • Controls and analyzes pricing for competitiveness.
  • Develops and promotes wholesale business while maintaining reasonable returns; utilizing manufacturer’s marketing funds where available.
  • Determines department goals and ensures team is on track to meet them.
  • Manages receivables on a weekly basis.
  • Promotes accessories through innovative displays and promotions.
  • Maintains gross profit percentages as appropriate for various Clients and pay type.
  • Analyzes various Management reports.

KRA: Effectively and Efficiently Manages the Company’s Parts Inventory

  • Maintains range and depth of inventory while minimizing investment.
  • Utilizes factory obsolescence return programs to minimize aged stock on hand.
  • Utilizes stock order for replenishment of stock but not at expense of Service Department.
  • Maintains a perpetual inventory process to help identify possible areas of concern.
  • Manages credits, discrepancies, and freight claims to recoup monies owed by factory.
  • Maintains departmental security.
  • Effectively and efficiently tracks and follows up on back-order parts.
  • Manages and maintains the most effective physical storage layout.
  • Effectively and efficiently maintains department security.
  • Maintains clear and precise record keeping for all RO’s, invoices, insurance estimates, special orders.

KRA: Effectively and Efficiently Coordinates Strategic Planning of the Department

  • Manages the annual operating budget of the Parts Department.
  • Ensures that new business development programs are planned, implemented and measured effectively.
  • Adapt to new technologies as they relate to the vital operations of the Parts Department.
  • Utilizes all available information to develop innovative and efficient business practices to benefit the Parts Department.

KRA: Manage and Develop Parts Department Personnel

  • Hires, trains, motivates and monitors all Parts Department staff performance.
  • Plans and schedules daily activities of all Parts Department staff.
  • Ensures employees attend training and achieve required certifications.
  • Conducts employee Annual Performance Evaluations and compensation review.

KRA: Effectively and Efficiently Coordinates Partner Relations

  • Works with all dealership personnel to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Acts as liaison to factory representatives.
  • Establishes and maintains relations with outside vendors ensuring competitive pricing.
  • Coordinates with others to ensure effectiveness of Parts department.
  • Fosters environment of teamwork to maintain highest ethical standards.

KRA: Builds Internal and External Client Relations/Retention

  • Maintains a strong “Client-Centric” vision and utilizes “The Rusnak Standard,” best core practices, as well as professional and exemplary service to provide every internal and external Client with an extraordinary experience during every encounter.
  • Actively listens and communicates, verbally and in writing, in a courteous, professional, clear, concise, and correct manner to identify Client needs beyond expressed concerns.
  • Responds in a timely, courteous, and professional manner with a “consultative, value-added” approach to secure Client understanding and develop a stronger business relationship and future business.

Qualifications

Education/Licenses/Certifications:

  • (5) years dealer parts experience, preferably in the same brand.
  • Factory Parts training, strong product knowledge.

Knowledge/Skills/Ability/Aptitude:

  • Confidentiality: Adheres to legal and company confidentiality guidelines; distributes Client information only based upon business need.
