Rural King Supply is Hiring a Program Management Office (PMO) Manager Near Mattoon, IL

Overview

The purpose of the PMO Manager is to design, develop, and maintain a department that coordinates and manages the company’s business and IT-related programs and projects.

Responsibilities

JOB DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Design, build, and implement a program governance plan.
  • Set up and facilitate program and workstream/project board and steering committees.
  • Manage the department’s workstream/project scope. When necessary, facilitate change boards ensuring that all change board members are fully engaged in the process.
  • Oversee project plans, resource plans, budgets, reporting, tracking, and schedule for the related projects and programs.
  • Manage workstream change processes.
  • Facilitate the continuous improvement process and the communication plans for the department.
  • Monitor the ongoing delivery of the overall workstreams/projects and highlight any delivery issues and track milestone levels.
  • Oversee the development of each project and ensure that associates are carrying out their tasks efficiently while upholding the company's standards.
  • Ensure all critical dependencies and risks are identified and are effectively highlighted, understood, prioritized, and managed.
  • Ensure program costs and resources are accurately projected, forecasted, scheduled, and managed.
  • Ensure that all benefits highlighted in the business case are tracked and realized.
  • Ensure that program, workstream/project, and executive reporting is undertaken in a timely, accurate and relevant fashion.
  • Undertake quality assurance of programs and projects.
  • Manage the continuous improvement plan ensuring that all areas contribute.
  • Responsible for ensuring the program library is accessible and effective.
  • Lead associates in a way that exemplifies the leadership principles taught in Rural King’s Thrive Leadership Program.
  • Use discretion and independent judgment in daily decisions while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • May be required to cross train and perform other duties.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of project/ program management and retail experience and bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong understanding of retail business practices.
  • Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor team members.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Demonstrated behaviors must reflect integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department across facilities.
  • Must be able to verbally communicate effectively with others (in-person and via electronic devices).
  • Must have close visual acuity.
