Runk and Pratt Senior Living Communities AT LIBERTY RIDGE is looking for dedicated and motivated Registered Medication Aides in Lynchburg, VA.

Essential Functions:

• Medication Administration
• Planning, implementing and evaluating the resident’s daily and on-going needs under the direction and supervision of the DON.
• Completes accurate documentation of the medication administration record (MAR)
• Monitors individual medications of the residents and ensures adequate supply of medications for residents
• Ensures proper and accurate medication administration
• Must demonstrate and have knowledge and understanding of medication administration procedures and current medical issues facing the senior population
• Knowledgeable of the individualized care plan for residents, and provides support to residents according to their care plan
• Observes residents for changes in condition or behavior
• Must have basic computer skills
• Must be able to perform duties in accordance with the guidelines mandated by Social Services as the licensing agent of this facility
• Performs daily tasks, including checking vital signs and weighing residents, as set forth by the Administrator or Designee, DON and/or the Nursing Supervisor and cooperates fully with all staff in the best interest of the residents and to act as a team member in all areas
• Provides resident supervision and/or assistance with activities of daily living, (ADLs): bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, incontinent care, transferring, feeding, communication, ambulation, and documents ADLs provided by employee

Qualifications:

• Hold a current and valid license as a CNA from the Virginia Board of Nursing/Department of Health Professions or present a nurse aide certificate from a reputable and recognizable affiliation with the Board of Nursing AND hold a current and valid license as a RMA from the Virginia Board of Nursing/Department of Health Professions
• State Police background check that is free from barrier crimes
• Ability to pass drug test
• Ability to meet physical requirements for position

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
