Founded in 2020, Rugby ATL is one of 13 teams in Major League Rugby, and the only professional rugby team in the southeast. Rugby ATL is headquartered in Marietta and plays matches at Atlanta Silverbacks Park.

Position Summary 
The Account Executive will be empowered to run his/her own business inside Rugby ATL. This role targets business leaders and focuses on selling tickets, premium packages, hospitality and/or experiences to drive company revenue, and offers an elevated level of service to these prospects. You will be interacting with business leaders, small to large and providing solutions to their business needs. This role will be calling on companies to set 15 appointments per week. 
 
Essential Job Functions
  • Responsible for selling Rugby ATL ticket packages – including season tickets, mini-plans, group outings and other ticket packages
  • Services sales accounts by providing unsurpassed customer service 
  • Responsible for generating and developing new business through leads lists, name collection activities, cold calls, networking events, speaking engagements, etc. 
  • Maintain a high standard of integrity during the sales and service process with each customer
  • Attend team and community events for the purpose of maximizing sales opportunities
  • Keep accurate sales files, customer service files, call reports, appointment schedule reports, prospects reports, etc. Maintain weekly communication on all activity reports. 
  • Follows and ensures implementation of all team sales programs 
  • Assist with the development of team sales databases
  • Assist with sales campaigns
  • Works with Rugby ATL events team to implement sales themes, promotions and events
  • Network within the Atlanta metro area to acquire new business
  • Responsible for in-stadium activities relating to the function of ticket sales (ie. Customer Service Tent, promotions, name generation opportunities, meet and greets, etc)
  • Collaborates with Rugby ATL’s ticketing platform representatives and performs ticket operations when a program requires it
  • Responsible for renewing established accounts from year to year
 
Qualifications
  • College Degree required, focus in Sports Management or Business Administration preferred
  • Minimum of two years of sales experience working in sports or entertainment industry preferred. Prior experience in rugby not required. Business to business sales experience is a plus.
  • Ability to meet aggressive sales goals and expectations each year
  • Successfully able to collaborate with team members in Business Operations, Performance and Rugby ATL Foundation
  • Willingness to work evenings/weekends/flexible schedule based on game and event schedules
  • Should have a great attitude, outgoing personality, and be a self-starter with excellent time management skills
  • Articulate with the ability to speak confidently and interact with prospects
  • Strong written communication skills and organized
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and ticketing systems
