Overview
Do you enjoy helping end users through technical problems? Are you the go-to for friends and family when their computer crashes mid-page? We are seeking a strong Desktop Support Specialist to bring technical expertise and a passion for the end user experience to Ruby!
The Desktop Support Specialist thrives on delivering exemplary service and models best-in-class support skills as a member of the Desktop Support team. In this position, you will be part of a team that is growing in skill set regularly! This position will require you to provide in-office support for our downtown Portland, Oregon headquarters and remote employees.
Your schedule will be Monday - Friday 8:00am -5:00pm Pacific Time. Along with other Rubys on the Systems Operations team, this position will have periodic on-call responsibilities.
This position will report to the Manager, Desktop Support and is open to hybrid/in-office candidates in the Portland, OR metro area.

The salary range for this position is $21.65 per hour to $28.85 per hour. We consider job level, geography, and the skills and experience you bring to the team.

Job-Specific Considerations
This is a hybrid role. Some in-office time is required at our headquarters at Fox Tower in downtown Portland, OR.

This is a coverage position that requires the ability to work a consistent full-time schedule, including some after-hours and on-call work as needed.
It requires the ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time and communicate effectively with a diverse audience in person, by phone and by computer. This position requires the ability to lift, push, and carry up to 50lbs, including moving tech equipment. This position requires the ability to crawl, crouch, and physically access equipment in high/low spaces.
