This Supplier Statement of Work (SSOW) is intended for the acquisition of Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) support for general EH&S tasks at the Collins Aerospace Princeton facility.
This position is an onsite role.
Job Summary:
The selected candidate will have an opportunity to be part of a large Environment, Health & Safety organization in the role of an EH&S Specialist. The selected candidate must be a self-starter, energetic and able to work in a fast-pace collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Assigned EH&S duties may include but are not limited to:
Under the direction of the EH&S Manager, support and implement Ergonomics and IH programs including, but not limited to, office and industrial Ergonomics, Hazard Communications, IH Sampling, IH Equipment Maintenance, ventilation and radiation
Monitors, administers, evaluates and coordinates company EH&S programs to ensure a safe workplace
Develops and advises employee workplace programs related to ergonomics and industrial hygiene
Collaborates across departments to achieve and maintain consistency of EH&S program implementation
Conduct regular site inspections for compliance with EH&S programs
Complete qualitative and quantitative IH monitoring and assessments to evaluate employee exposure to potential hazards and interpret data to determine appropriate controls to eliminate hazardous exposures (noise, indoor air quality, air sampling, x-ray surveys). Interpret and communicate IH sample and survey data to affected management and employees
Analysis of leading and lagging safety performance indicators for trends to drive corrective actions
Serve as EHS representative for assigned building and functional safety council
Conduct injury investigations and root cause analysis, develop corrective actions and track to completion
Contribute to the development and implementation of EH&S strategic initiatives that drive continuous improvement
Develop programs, processes and procedures to improve EH&S programs, culture for employees and contractors
Support the improvement of business and site EH&S communications plan
Provide instructor led training on various ergonomic and IH topics
Provide support for other site EH&S programs such as safety and environmental
Support the site to meet EH&S requirements for upcoming internal and external audits including Cal VPP, AS9100 and other internal company assessments
May need to travel to support Enterprise and Raytheon initiatives
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree with > 3 years EH&S experience or Advance degree and 1 year of relevant experience
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Experience in a manufacturing or related industry preferably in the electronics industry
EH&S regulatory and management systems knowledge preferred
Basic Qualifications:
Develop and implement EH&S programs, requirements, reports, and training as required by local site requirements, Collins and RTX Policy and applicable government regulatory agencies.
Create, update, and deliver internal Environment Health & Safety (EH&S) training content and external training coordination
Inspect, audit, assess facility activities related to work practices for compliance as required by local, state, and federal law, Collins and RTX policy.
Support EH&S safety committees with the goal of reducing injuries, incidents, and meeting company initiatives.
Coordinate with leaders and internal departments for recognition and elimination of EH&S concerns regarding facilities and employee practices.
Identify and drive the elimination of hazards and risks
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge and the application of OSHA regulations and ANSI Standards.
Knowledge and the application of the principals of regulatory requirements.
Ability to accurately diagnose general and complex EH&S issues related to Raytheon operations, determine appropriate or practical controls, and implement practical and effective solutions in a timely manner.
Ability to effectively organize and manage multiple projects and programs in a fast-pace environment and demonstrate effective prioritization and implementation skills.
Well-developed communication and presentation skills.
Ability to plan, organize, delegate, and follow-up on work flow in a team environment to meet departmental goals and objectives.
Well-organized and have excellent attention to detail and thoroughness with accomplishing tasks from inception through completion in a multi-tasking environmental
Be flexible to accept additional assignments, campaigns and rotations to other EH&S programs including environmental and safety

- Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
- Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.
- Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.
