Job Title: Fleet Manager

Location(s): Westminster, CO

Hiring Range: $53,000.00 - $90,000.00/yr. (The anticipated starting salary pay range of $53,000.00 - $90,000.00/yr. is based on minimum requirements for this position. Minimum requirements are a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and at least 7 years of relevant experience. The offered salary will be based upon the selected applicant’s education, training, and experience.)

RSI EnTech, LLC is recruiting for a Fleet Manager who will be responsible for managing the Legacy Management Support Contract (LMS) Fleet Program. The Fleet Program includes, but not limited to: policies & procedures, acquisition & disposals, dispatching, preventive/corrective maintenance plans and activities, infrastructure, training, communication, budgets, telematics analysis, accident/incident investigations, billing/invoicing, and safety for all vehicles at all sites within LM. The Fleet Manager is responsible for directing the activities of 9 support members decentralized at 8 occupied sites across the country that support the LM mission. This position requires coordination with the client on programmatic direction. The overarching requirement is to provide the smallest right type of vehicle to accomplish the mission.

This position is required to travel at least 25% of the time.

Primary responsibilities and essential functions:

  • Evaluating and Ordering/Disposing of Vehicles – Evaluates the mission need of the project and the availability of fleet vehicles to meet the requirements with the right vehicle, size, type, and features.
  • Policy/Process Development & Improvement – Tasked with developing the first LMS Fleet Desktop Manual and ensuring that it addresses all applicable contract and regulatory drivers to ensure compliance.
  • Maintenance – Ensure maintenance is addressed via a preventive action process that identifies issues before they become systemic failures which increases costs and time.
  • Dispatching – Supervises the proper dispatching of our pooled and sub-pooled vehicle fleet for each of the occupied sites.
  • Reporting – administration of different reporting systems used to report fleet data at any level of the organization or government. Attention to detail, organization, and ability to absorb difficult changes are vital to a successful sustainable program. Secondary responsibility next to accuracy is streamlining similar systems and/or reutilizes reported data for multiple data calls to create more efficiency and better cost savings.
  • Regulatory Drivers – Assess the applicability and implementation of the regulatory drivers for the procedures based on laws, regulations, directives, DOE orders, or policy changes directed by LM, including but not limited to Executive Orders regarding sustainability and resilience.
  • Quality Management – Evaluate all aspects of the program annually looking for opportunities for improvement using a continual improvement methodology. Develop internal formal audits, surveillances, and assessments to look for process improvements and track progress of identified improvements.
  • Directs Team Member’s Tasks – Directs the Fleet specialist located in the various occupied office locations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Work experience, skills, and capabilities needed:

  • Solid communication skills.
  • Data Analysis - Requires the ability to digest and represent large amounts of data accurately and completely to provide credible information to the DOE client in order for them to make a well-informed decision that is tailored to appropriate stewardship of taxpayer asset.
  • Understanding of vehicle construction, maintenance, and ability to make independent determinations as to limits, restrictions, and maintenance.
  • Understanding of distractions and other safety related issues that might happen in relation to vehicles.
  • Ability to interact with the internal and external clients on various related issues.
  • Proficient language, mathematical, and computer skills.
  • Proficient technical writing ability
  • Data Analysis

Technical knowledge, certifications/licenses, and software proficiency required:

  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Certified Federal Fleet Specialist (CFFS)
  • Certified Federal Fleet Administrator (CFFA)
  • Ability to interpret government regulations and mandates for reporting purposes.

Required Education and Years of Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in business, communication, or related field with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience. Experience in lieu of education will be considered.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
