Job Description:
The Emergency Management Specialist will support the development, implementation, and maintenance of emergency management and continuity programs in compliance with Department of Energy Order 151.1D, Comprehensive Emergency Management System, and DOE Order 150.1B, Continuity Programs, for the Department of Energy Office of Legacy Management (DOE LM). This position is within the Emergency Management Department under the Environment, Emergency Management, Safety & Health, and Quality Assurance Division.
This position will spend 10% - 25% of their time in the field.

Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Emergency Management, Communications, English, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field. Experience in lieu of education will be considered. Master’s degree preferred.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
The employee exerts up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to touch or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
