Essential Responsibilities

• Provide regional technical leadership
• Provide technical oversight and guidance on large scale renewable energy projects such as wind, solar and battery energy storage systems.
• Act as the engineer of record for responsible projects.
• Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards, and specifications.
• Perform overall project quality control on drawings and studies.
• Interact with clients to interpret their needs and requirements while representing them in the field.
• Interface with internal and external team members including Electrical Engineers, Discipline leads, Project Managers, and take ownership of projects to meet and exceed client expectations.
• Support/Lead development of standards, technical training for team, optimizations, processes, and provide execution plans with strong follow-through.

Qualifications

• Minimum of Bachelors degree in electrical engineering, renewable engineering, or relevant field
• 8 years experience in renewable energy, power generation or power delivery
• Proficiency in Wind / Solar / BESS / MV System designs and studies.
• Electrical Professional Engineer (PE) license
• Strong understanding of applicable industry codes and standards including the IEEE, NESC, NEC
• Knowledge of renewable energy industry relating to utility scale wind and solar projects
• Excellent time management and organization skills
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook with advanced MS Office skills
• Ability to organize, schedule, prioritize, and multi-task in a dynamic environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to work cross-functionally to understand requirements, present alternatives, and make recommendations
• Ability to collaborate within a team environment
• Self-motivated and work with minimal guidance
• Ability to travel up to 10%
• Master's Degree in Engineering with renewable energy focus a plus
• Experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems a plus
