SANITATION TECHNICIAN
- The Sanitation Technician is responsible for performing activities that ensure plant operations meet mandatory sanitation requirements
- Responsible for the proper sanitation of machinery, equipment, and facilities in accordance with Quality directives
- Ensures compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Hazard Analysis Critical
- Control Point (HACCP) principles, food safety, food quality, and regulatory sanitation requirements.
- This person carries out responsibilities in accordance with company policies, OSHA regulations and applicable laws.
- Help oversee the general sanitation of the plant by properly cleaning, washing and sanitizing all production machines and related equipment in accordance with
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain daily sanitation logs in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Assist in sanitation inspection of equipment and take part in cleaning validations under the direction of the Sanitation Manager.
- Complete special cleaning projects as required by management.
- Clean and sanitize drains, complete drain logs, perform proper testing and analysis.
- Ensure all chemical containers have proper and legible labels on them, ensure all secondary containers are filled with the proper amount of chemicals.
- Ensure that all high-risk areas are kept clean and organized by assisting the operators with their daily cleaning tasks. (GMP/non-GMP areas)
- Ensure low and medium risk areas are inspected frequently and sanitation addressed accordingly. This includes the GMP/non-GMP areas, the general offices, grounds, warehouses, receiving area, and maintenance rooms.
- Responsible for cleaning entryways, hallways, bathrooms, offices, and indoor/outdoor common areas. Cleaning floors includes vacuuming, sweeping, moping and using a floor scrubber.
- Responsible for care and maintenance of company sanitation tools and equipment.
