The Position:The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for supervising the Accounts Payable department, ensures timely payments of invoices, and maintains accurate records and control reports. The AP Manager possesses excellent problem-solving skills and establishes processes and methodologies to run the Accounts Payable department efficiently. Attention to detail is important and the ability to multi-task is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the accounts payable function and manage the day-to-day operations
• Oversee team and be hands on with full cycle Accounts Payable
• Supervise, train, and develop department associates to ensure the accurate and timely processing of all invoices and the appropriate review of the exception que
• Assist Accounts Payable resources in solving work related issues, providing employee guidance/direction, counsel, and motivation
• Drive key performance indicators using dashboards developed.
• Provide recommendations into management based on weekly review of AP aging report, exception reporting, processing metrics and weekly team meetings
• Establish strategies for continuous improvement of metrics and clarity of reporting
• Assist in implementing best practices in department
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
• Distribute workflow appropriately among assigned AP Specialists

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• 3-5 years’ experience with managing a team within accounts payable
• Prior experience with multiple large ERP platforms or accounting systems
• Experience developing a shared services organization a plus
