We know how to identify and implement innovative solutions for our client's toughest challenges.Position summary:Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Facilities Maintenance Technician. This position is a hands-on technician position responsible for performing work assignments, identifying needed work, preparing work areas and conducting work to ensure the safety of occupants, continuity of business operations, and the cleanliness of all work areas. The position will support locations in the Houston, TX area. The company desires an individual with a high degree of focus on customer service, exceptional technical skill and an aptitude for facilities maintenance including electrical, mechanical, general building trouble-shooting, diagnosing, and repairs; along with executing preventive maintenance (PM) activities and including oversight of subcontracted services as required. The preferred candidate will be a hands-on technician, self-starter, dependable, have demonstrated knowledge in conducting building inspections, maintenance and repairs as well as ability to quickly learn client sites, buildings, systems, norms of operation, occupancy and conditions of use in order to anticipate and respond to customer needs and requirements responsibly and professionally. Candidate should speak and understand English well, be customer service oriented, a self-starter, reliable, flexible, conduct themselves in a professional manner, be able to make informed decisions, and have a willingness to learn.Experience and Skills required:
Requires minimum 2 yrs related experienceMust have a valid driver’s license and a good driving recordCustomer interface (communications, problem solving, work prioritization & scheduling)Troubleshooting skills (diagnosing problems, taking meter readings, referring to manufacturer specifications equipment guides)
Electrical skills (changing and installing lights, electrical outlets, lights, minor electrical, and troubleshooting)
Familiarity with UPS / Emergency Generator and Fire / Life / Safety Systems
HVAC / CRAC Units (PM, system monitoring, knowledge and familiarization)Plumbing skills, (minor restroom repair of toilets, sinks, and fixtures)Building skills, (doors & hardware, furniture & hardware, bulletin boards, etc.)Painting skills, (for touch-ups and misc.)Computer & Hand-held device skills, (email, scheduling, maintenance management, work order & PM’s)Schedule: Full time; Day shift, Monday through Friday. Must be able to work nights and weekends as required.
