We have 2 state-of-the-art production plants with on-site manufacturing, packaging and fulfillment. We are seeking candidates who are looking to grow with us! Packing is the last part of our process before our potato chips are shipped out to our customers. We are looking for candidates who enjoy working a 12 hour shift Monday through Wednesday and every other Sunday or Thursday through Saturday and every other Sunday.
Job Summary:
As a Packer at Dieffenbach's Potato Chips, you will be responsible for efficiently packing potato chips into boxes, ensuring product quality, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. You will work as part of a team to meet production targets while adhering to safety and hygiene standards.
Responsibilities:
Packing Operations: Efficiently pack potato chips into boxes according to specified weight and packaging requirements.
Quality Control: Inspect potato chips for quality defects such as discoloration, size irregularities, or foreign objects, and remove any defective products from the production line.
Product Handling: Handle potato chips with care to prevent breakage or damage during packing and transport.
Hygiene and Safety: Adhere to strict hygiene and safety protocols, including wearing appropriate protective gear, maintaining cleanliness in the packing area, and following proper handling procedures for food products.
Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members, including machine operators, quality control inspectors, and supervisors, to ensure efficient production and timely completion of packing tasks.
Problem Solving: Identify and report any equipment malfunctions, quality issues, or safety hazards to supervisors for prompt resolution.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a manufacturing or food production environment preferred. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds. Attention to detail and commitment to product quality. Basic math skills for counting and recording production data. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment. Physical Demands: The job involves standing for long periods, repetitive movements, and lifting heavy objects. The work environment may be noisy and fast-paced, with exposure to food processing equipment and machinery. Strict hygiene and safety protocols must be followed to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
