Rose Quarter is Hiring a Digital Content Specialist Near Portland, OR

As our Digital Content Specialist, you will build content that helps grow our audiences across our digital portfolio. You will work within the Digital Content team in content production for social platforms and website in addition to carrying out the team’s content plan for Blazer5 gaming.

Day-to-day:

  • Assist Digital Content Manager in content creation, including on all Trail Blazers game nights, for social platforms and websites. Provide real-time social coverage by capturing and sharing photos, videos, interviews and behind-the-scenes footage. Regularly post social content in coordination with other internal departments, including Community Programs, DEI and Retail.
  • Take a leading role in the organization’s community and youth development strategy on social channels, including ideation and content creation for TikTok and Snapchat. Identify and craft ways to reach our new followers. Test new products and services that engage fans in new ways.
  • Build and share content for Blazer5 Gaming across social channels by covering games, practices and other events. Work with internal departments, namely Creative Services and Corporate Partnership, to imagine and implement campaigns and initiatives from a content calendar throughout the year.
  • Attend Trail Blazers home games and other team events as assigned. Work road games remotely in addition to occasional travel opportunities with the team.
  • Regularly publish content for and help manage the Trail Blazers website to reflect the latest news about the team.
  • Provide social reporting of sponsored content, team campaigns and events to support other areas of our business, and track and supervise the success of digital initiatives.

We’d like to hear from you if you:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required in Marketing, Digital or other related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to work in Adobe Creative Suite and WordPress
  • Ability to work flexible hours that will include nights, weekends and select holidays based on event schedule
  • Minimum 2 years of related work or internship experience
  • A passion for and understanding of digital and social media channels and trends
  • Effective communication and ability to work well within a team
  • Strong work ethic and ability to learn on the job
  • Can be nimble and work on a variety of projects
  • Knowledge of and curiosity about sports, gaming and entertainment is preferred
  • Experience with social analytics and reporting is preferred
  • Graphic design skills are preferred
