Are you detail-oriented, highly organized, and passionate about ensuring a seamless customer experience? Room & Board is seeking a dedicated individual to join our Edina showroom as a Retail Inventory Associate. You will be at the forefront of maintaining inventory integrity within our showroom environment, playing a crucial part in delivering an extraordinary customer experience.

Room & Board Retail Inventory Associates are solely responsible for inventory integrity within the showroom environment. They are a critical member of the retail team and work in close partnership with the showroom manager, visual associate and other showroom partners to ensure accurate inventory processes that support an extraordinary customer experience. They also build relationships with internal delivery and distribution partners to support the successful execution of the showroom's inventory and logistics. 

The Retail Inventory Associate role is physical in nature. You will spend time maintaining the day to day of inventory flow. You are adept at communication, both listening to and sharing information, and can confidently educate the team on how inventory integrity supports the customer experience. You are skilled at giving and receiving thoughtful feedback that improves the work and strengthens your professional relationships.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30AM - 5:00PM (earlier start on Wednesdays)

You'll share your talents in the following ways as a Retail Inventory Associate: Retail Inventory Associate

• Manage inventory and related responsibilities including stock accuracy, reorder point accuracy, pricing product markdowns, stock room organization, Product Inventory Master system (PIM), etc. and collaborate with partners in the delivery center and/or product teams to ensure product inventories support the customer experience and showroom selling opportunities.
• Execute and ensure processes are in place that result in the accurate movement of inventory including the receipt and transfer of products and the movement of product throughout the sales, returns and damaged product processes.
• Identify, research and problem solve inventory opportunities and collaborate with cross functional partners on solutions. Provide meaningful input and take action to resolve concerns in a way that positively impacts inventory integrity and the customer experience.
• Educate the sales team to further their understanding of the effect they have on inventory integrity and ultimately the customer experience.
• Plan and execute timely monthly cycle counts to ensure that inventory is accurate and product locations are correct.
• Stays connected to the needs of the customer and supports the team by working on the showroom floor and engaging with customer as needed.
• Be an active leader within the environment by embracing, supporting and proactively responding to changes in the business.
• Support the success of others in both the showroom and the broader market by actively engaging with them to understand their roles and responsibilities.

• Inventory Experience. You bring related inventory management experience (preferred).You enjoy the intricacies of overseeing and maintaining a precise inventory system that caters to the needs of our business.
• Natural at building relationships. You demonstrate a joy in working with people as you serve as a strong partner and collaborate with the showroom team. 
• Effective communication skills. You bring professional, consistent and timely communication to ensure that you create the best experiences for our customers, retail team and internal partners.
• Strong planning and organizational skills. You have the skills to develop a game plan that is aligned to sales and supporting the retail team. You bring an aptitude for good time management, process execution and a proactive problem solver.
• Skilled in Technology. You are confident navigating technology (MicroSoft, SAP, etc.) and leveraging tools and resources to successfully accomplish the task at hand.
• Ability to safely perform the work. The safety and wellbeing of our staff members is paramount. We recognize this role requires physical stamina and therefore require final candidates to complete a pre-employment physical.
