What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operator position at Rommel Infrastructure Inc?
Our company is seeking operators to join our team! The position requires handling a variety of tasks and using strong communication skills. The ideal candidate has a background in construction, is familiar with different office equipment, and has a lot of energy!
General Responsibilities:
- Load and move materials using heavy machinery and tools.
- Use hand tools and work with hand materials.
- Apply basic math skills to estimate amounts of materials needed and work performed.
- Perform minor repairs, maintenance, or construction work.
- Follow directions from supervisors or specialists in the field.
- Use sound judgment in emergency situations.
Physical Requirements:
- Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
- Work in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to the elements.
- Able to wear a hard hat, safety glasses, and gloves.
- Able to walk moderate distances to reach work area up to 1/2 mile
- Able to safely operate the equipment (if authorized for that piece of equipment)
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
