A Test Engineer must have experience in architecting new automated test strategies and frameworks, in addition to creating, implementing, and automating testing in support of software test requirements. Must have knowledge and skills to execute and report on planned tests, report and manage defects, regress software fixes for new and existing products, assist development with replicating and debugging problems and develop new test automation solutions as needed.The Test Engineer must be able to test IT hardware, software, systems, and networks.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical fields
• 5 Years’ experience Substitution: 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.
• U.S. Citizen
• Proficient with MS Office Suite
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Expertise with agile product management tools (e.g., Jira, CA Rally)
• Must be located in Central Florida 

Responsibilities Include but not limited to:

• Testing Section 508 compliance Section 508, a federal law mandating that our application is accessible to people with disabilities
• Experience with tools like JAWS, NVDA, WAVE, ANDI and Axe
• Analyze test results and track software testing metrics.
• Participates as a member of development support team
• Contributes to design activities
• Participates in code reviews and may lead code reviews
• Experience in a DevSecOps and scrum environment
• Experience testing in VA VistA
• Experience creating test plans, test cases, test scripts

Basic Qualifications:

• B.S. degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related scientific /technical discipline
• Experience with service orientation concepts and enabling technologies
• Experience with Software Development and Implementation
• 5 years of experience in debugging and correcting errors in test programs.
• Excellent knowledge of QA methodology and Software development processes (Agile Scrum, RUP, IEEE, etc.)
• Ability to obtain VA Medium-Background Investigation clearance

Security Clearance Requirements:

• Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain an active Public Trust security clearance with the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with the Department of Veterans Affairs
• Healthcare background
• Government background
