Rogers is Hiring an Environmental Specialist Near Conway, AR

We are currently seeking a Environmental Specialist position which will be in our SMA office located in Conway, AR. This position will report directly to the Director of Environmental Services. The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising emphasis on safety excellence and will have responsibilities that include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for managing site compliance and permitting regarding air, water, mining and other applicable regulations.
  • Write and submit modification and renewal applications for water, air, mining and other applicable permits.
  • Perform site audits for quarries, asphalt plants, shops, and construction sites
  • Complete reporting as required by permits
  • Train employees on the necessary records and reports required to maintained on site
  • Responsible for stream determinations or biological assessment.

Education, Experience and Knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Chemistry, or Biology
  • Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience in Environmental field
  • Working knowledge of Federal and State Mining, Water, and Air Regulations
  • Knowledge related to ARAP permitting preferred
  • Knowledge and/or Certification of erosion and sedimentation processes and practices
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and SharePoint
  • Strong communication and relationship skills
  • Valid Driver’s License
