The Product team is growing and we are looking for a creative and innovative Industrial Designer. Your mission will be to lead and innovate a new line of products designed to transform how we define the ideal modern work environment. These products aim to become best-sellers on Amazon and will get into the hands of millions of users. You will have a massive impact on the company trajectory as you will design and build concepts that will fuel Rocketbook’s next phase of crazy growth.

What you will do:

  • Work closely with the Product, Marketing, and Sales teams to generate new concepts and ideas to evolve our physical product offerings in the notebook/writing space
  • Obsess over notebooks, writing surfaces, and office tools
  • Conduct market and user research to provide insight and feedback for guiding product development
  • Create cohesive user experiences for our products, which may include page template designs, instructions, cover art, and packaging
  • Communicate high-impact concepts through effective storytelling using 2D skills and creating physical prototypes
  • Continuously test designs and concepts with users for quick feedback
  • Collaborate with our manufacturing partners to source and sample materials and products before getting them ready for prototyping and mass production

Who you are:

  • A minimum 1-2 years of Industrial Design or Physical Product Design experience (experience in lifestyle or stationery products is a plus)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Engineering, or a related field
  • A highly motivated innovator known for your fresh perspective. You are a natural collaborator who loves producing creative solutions to problems
  • Committed to building and facilitating relationships with non-designers to execute your vision of the best user experience
  • Fluency in both 2D and 3D design tools (CAD, Solidworks, Keyshot, and Adobe CC) to produce high-quality renderings and detailed manufacturer-ready specs.
  • Comfort with physical prototyping utilizing 3D printers and a variety of other methods
  • Strong creative thinking, problem-solving, and storytelling skills
  • Strong time management skills; Able to efficiently manage your bandwidth and deliver design solutions to appropriate levels of detail and quality
  • A deep understanding of the product development process and a genuine appreciation of user pain points
  • Basic knowledge of mass manufacturing techniques such as injection molding, casting, and machining
  • Evidence of effective leadership, initiative, and an entrepreneurial spirit
  • An eye for good design and attention to detail. You sweat the small details: from typography to color, and layout.
