Description
SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:
The Purchasing Agent works with and negotiates with suppliers to purchase goods and services; assists with product or service sourcing; adheres to purchasing processes and procedures; and will research price and service costs. This position will maintain and develop relationships with vendors and assists with negotiating contracts for major purchases; assists with evaluating and analyzing purchasing trends and pricing to identify forecasting demand and minimizing purchasing costs. This position is a highly visible and responsible role and is of great significance within the company with accountability to uphold the quality and standards of the organization.
