Job Summary

The golf course greenskeeper works on the diverse range of activities involved in golf course maintenance and construction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Perform routine manual labor involved in golf course maintenance
• Mow greens, tees, collars
• Rake and maintain sand bunkers
• Edge cart paths, bunkers, sprinkler heads, and drains
• Operate light equipment in hauling materials and removing debris
• Assists in construction of new greens, tees, and fairways by grading, preparing soil and planting

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Ability to comprehend and learn tasks associated with golf course maintenance
• Working knowledge of and ability to use hand and power tools, as well as other equipment
• Working Knowledge of and ability to operate riding mowers, tractors and other golf course specific equipment

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Ability to lift 50 lbs as needed
• Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping, pulling
• Physical resolve to work outside in the typical climate conditions and temperatures of Arizona
