Job Summary

As a Jr. Assistant Community Manager, you’ll be responsible for supporting the Community. Provide Epic Customer Service and the first line of customer communications. The Jr. Assistant Community Manager is also responsible for assisting with the planning and coordinating community events and activities. Resident relations are one of the priorities for this position. Ensuring a positive atmosphere and responsive service for the residents of your community. Supports Community managers and employees through a variety of tasks related to organization and communication. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following: 

  • Ensure residents receive epic customer service 
  • Must become well educated on Community Lease Agreement, Lease Addendum, Addendums, and Community Rules and Regulations 
  • Assist management team in preparing and distributes resident and community communications (i.e. monthly statements, rule reminders, violation notices, increase letters, delinquency notices, eviction paperwork, leases including addendums and rules, as well as lease renewals / rent increase notices) 
  • Perform administrative functions including answering phones, typing, copying, faxing and filing 
  • Complete and maintain community records, reports and resident files 
  • Prepare documents for scanning. Compile scanned documents into a logical folder organization. Scan, verify, and upload of documents into the database and resident accounts
  • Collect and post resident deposits, process fees, rents, inspections and other fees and record in the proper accounts and issue receipts 
  • Make Collection calls for delinquent payments 
  • Assist in processing move-ins / move-outs 
  • Assist in processing Security Deposit returns 
  • Assist in the process and paperwork of residents transferring home ownership 
  • Prepare resident leases and schedules appointments 
  • Assist prospective residents with the application process 
  • Plan resident relation events and activities 
  • When necessary forward Customer Service requests to the proper manager 
  • Cover the reception desk when required (if applicable)

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  •  High School diploma or GED 
  • Minimum 1 year of property management experience 
  • Strong customer service skills 
  • Professional phone presence when talking to customers 
  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to fluently read, write and speak English and Spanish 
  • Ability to work well independent and on a team 
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work 
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Valid Driver’s License and good driving record 
  • Experience with MS Office 

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Physical Activities: Constantly sit, reach with hands/arms, and talk/hear. Frequently stand, walk, and use hands.

Lifting Requirements: Up to 50 lbs 

Environment Conditions: Temperature Changes and Extreme Heat
