Robert Half is Hiring a Remote Programmer Analyst

We are in search of a Programmer Analyst to join our client's team in Chicago, Illinois. This role involves providing support for AS/400-related issues, troubleshooting complex hardware and software issues, and collaborating with internal and external teams to resolve advanced problems. Responsibilities: Monitor the health and performance of AS/400 systems and execute regular system maintenance tasks. Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, software, and system-level issues. Manage user accounts, permissions, and security settings in line with company policies. Execute and maintain backup procedures, ensuring all critical data is securely stored and recoverable. Analyze system performance metrics and perform tuning to optimize system operations. Oversee job scheduling, print services, and system storage management, ensuring jobs are executed without issues. Assist in testing and executing disaster recovery plans. Document troubleshooting procedures, system configurations, and recurring issues to enhance team efficiency. Maintain the security of the AS/400 system, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and internal security policies. Support the configuration and maintenance of high-availability systems.
