Robert Half has partnered with a large real estate firm in Denver in search of a Jr. Accountant! The Jr. Accountant position is offering a very flexible schedule where you only need to go into the office 1-2 days/week! The Jr. Accountant position is paying $50,000-$62,000!
The Jr. Accountant will be responsible for the following:
- Reconcile bank accounts accurately and in a timely manner, with attention to unusual items that remain outstanding at month end.
- Perform research on historical accounting transactions. Reconcile differences between A/P or A/R modules and G/L module.
- Prepare periodic financial statements (as directed by the Accounting Manager) within assigned time limits and accuracy standards.
- Prepare relevant and current explanation of financial statements in a narrative format for any financial statements released to users.
- Prepare financial statement related reports.
- Prepare accounting reports required by outside agencies.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and schedules for annual audit.
- Submit assigned tasks in a timely manner (i.e., I/S, B/S, Bank Recs, Audit and other assigned projects).
- Assist with G/L coding of all invoices and incoming deposits (checks and wires) to ensure a timely delivery of these items to our A/P and A/R departments. Work with Senior Staff Accountants and regional staff on coding corrections.
- When appropriate, review and approve job cost coding for pre-development and development projects.
- Assist with monthly intercompany reconciliation as needed.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
- Work cooperatively with others.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
Requirements for the Jr. Accountant include:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 6 months of accounting experience or an accounting internship is preferred, but not required
- Proficient with pivot tables and vlookups in Excel
