Robert Half is Hiring a Human Resources Administrator Near OAKBROOK TERRACE, IL

Small office located in Oakbrook is looking for an experienced Human Resources and Office Administrator to lead the administration of all HR, Payroll, Benefits, 401k Administration, and legal support activities for the organization. A successful candidate will have experience in the human resources space and be able to accurately handle administrative duties. Ultimately, the right candidate will be able to improve Company procedures and day to day operations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all HR responsibilities including benefits enrollments and cancellations, performance management, organizational development, workers compensation, OSHA, and EEO reporting, etc.
  • Responsible for onboarding and offboarding of employees.
  • Process payroll including 401k and HSA deposits.
  • Review and approve all benefits bills for accuracy and prompt payment.
  • Annual 401k administration, compliance testing, and 5500 filings, and workers compensation audits.
  • Coordinate annual benefits renewal with CFO and manage annual open enrollment process.
  • Maintain personnel files and ensure proper handling of confidential/personnel information.
  • Implement online benefits portal with benefits broker and automate 401k and HSA deposits.
  • Work with CFO and General Counsel to administer various HR policies and procedures.
  • Provide support for General Counsel including maintaining entity organizations charts, new entity filings and annual reports
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable state and federal regulations and laws.
  • Maintain procedures and cross training for continued operation in the absence of employees.
  • Organize office operations and procedures. Modify or implement new policies or procedures for the office as needed.
Requirements

Skills

  • 5 years proven experience in HR Administration
  • General knowledge of HR policies, practices, and related laws and regulations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities. Organize and prioritize functions daily to ensure all tasks are completed timely, accurately, and efficiently.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills.
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, databases, and Power Point.
  • Ability to maintain the utmost personal integrity and retain confidential information.
  • Superior judgement in complex and diverse situations.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferrable in Business Administration or Human Resources.
  • Experience in small family offices or Real Estate
