Robert Half is looking for a Project professional for an interim opportunity as a Director of Finance. This contract opportunity will be providing financial leadership in managing budgets, overseeing all accounting functions, and conducting forecast analysis. In addition, as a member of the Executive Team, the Director of Finance will participate in the strategic planning process and will maintain and report on key financial metrics.

Key responsibilities

- Collaborate with the executive team to develop operational and long-term budgets and forecasts for all aspects of the organization and then monitor and report on performance against those budgets

- Generate and maintain effective professional relationships with the company's bankers, auditors, government agencies, and other professional organizations

- Report regularly on the company's key financial metrics for internal and board stakeholders

- Manage the annual/quarterly/monthly budgeting and forecasting processes

- Develop and maintain adherence to the company's accounting policies and procedures

- Develop operating and financial metrics, analyze results and trends to create impactful insights, report results to executive leadership and key stakeholders, and improve forecasting and modeling accuracy

- Develop detailed business unit projections, highlight risks/opportunities, and oversee the preparation of relevant materials

Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years' experience at an executive level role
- Must be skilled in analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution
- Must have excellent communication (written and verbal) skills to interact clearly and effectively in a fast-changing environment
- Bachelor or Business Administration degree with a specialization in Finance or Accounting
- Detail-oriented and high attention to accuracy are a must
- High level of integrity, confidentially, and accountability
- CPA designation or MBA highly preferred
